In some metrics he is better than Kershaw, like postseason stats!

Yeah, Hamels single handedly won a World Series and Kershaw is a huge choke artist. It would be foolish to compare them.

His column in the Philly paper was one of the instigators for me "getting into" baseball when I was a kid. I used to love that column and my dad and I would hash it out every week.

Kershaw's highest single game FIP this season... 3.58.

Absurd. I dare someone to try to find a better season by this metric (max single game FIP). :)

Kershaw is on another level even with his postseason struggles. He is still 26.

Holy #$!&@, I thought he was like 50.

That definitely would have been my range, like 47-53. I was looking him up to see when he joined ESPN, so he was 49 then and looks no different but no stache so actually younger.

Absurd.

14 of Hamels' 30 starts were higher than that.

Hamels and Kershaw started 57 games between them. Hamels had the 14 worst. And Hamels had a good year.

red sox should be looking for a Kershaw type. boegarts should get them in the conversation.

Lefties take a while to really hit their stride sometimes. I think Kershaw might pan out.

Plus he is funny as heck on talk shows. Baseball needs to Peyton Manning his ass.

BA sas we signed RHP Tyler Gonzalez who was a Supplemental First Round pick (out of HS) in 2012 by the Blue Jays. Was pretty bad both in 2012 and 2013 and then had a drug suspension during 2014. Still only 21 I think.
