As Barry notes, it does. This actually reminds me of one of my baseball-related pet peeves. The fact that the traditional stats for pitchers and batters are completely different never made any sense; what's good for a batter is bad for a pitcher, and vice versa. So why not use the same stats? I know that BA Allowed and so forth are sometimes used to describe pitchers, but why were these not used in the first place?
yep. I think it's especially unfair how pitchers are judged by ERA which can be ruined for a year with 1 inning, while batters can have a bad month and still have good stats at the end of the year. If pitchers were judged on a per batter basis it would be more fair to them.
