Actually David Eckstein was the 2006 WS MVP for the cards, Renteria was gone by then. He was referring to Giants MVP last year
Why not just go storm Normandy and get shot in the face while you're at it
Why not get a plumbing license and run around high on shrooms stealing peoples' pocket change

Yes It's Livelier—and Here Is The Proof - SI article from 50 years ago about my grandpa doing a study showing the 1961 ball was livelier than baseballs from the 1950s.

My brother just found it online. Kind of cool/random.

Very neat. It's always amazed me that baseball doesn't pay more attention to equipment specifications. Whenever controversies like come up it seems like there should be a simple set of standards and tests that can be referred to. Instead it's always a response of , "I dunno. Maybe this, maybe that."

Still don't know whether too credit the conspiracy or negligence theories to account for this.

Failcoeur since being dumped by the Mets:

.289/.331/.477 in 712 PAs. Still strikes out a ton, doesn't walk etc...but he hasn't been as worthless as he was before
