Up to them, but explicitly holding monetary contributions over elected officials heads before a legislative session is pretty gross.

No, i'm one of the biggest people for getting money out of politics. i'm also facing the reality of how the system currently is. i guess they could go after the union leadership and try to put them in prison for a bribe. i'd like to see that stand in a courtroom.

if you can't get Bob McDonnell, you certainly can't get what is a fairly common practice on a daily basis.

Wait, it's a bad thing to say that my organization and my members aren't going to donate further to you unless/until you honor your pledge to do something that was the main reason we supported you?

I don't like money in politics very much either, but that's about as fundamental as it gets.

I'm sure the Koch brothers turn the tap on and off depending upon whether they're getting what they want.

It's farther to the left than our old policy which was super conservative. Anything without single payer can't be considered liberal at this point.

Did we previously have healthcare legislation more progressive than the ACA? I genuinely don't know, but didnt think so. It was correctly viewed as a big win for Obama, arguments about No True Scotsman notwithstanding.

yup, and 4 people on the stage allows it to turn into a shouting match, which Trump likes. There's no way he wants to actually debate anyone.

AP: ATLANTIC CITY -- The owners of the Trump Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City say they will shut it down after Labor Day weekend due to an ongoing strike by union members.

The announcement came Wednesday, a day before the walkout will become the longest in the 38-year history of Atlantic City's casino era.

The strike by Local 54 of the Unite-HERE union began July 1. On Thursday, it will have lasted 35 days, surpassing the 34-day strike the union staged against seven casinos in 2004.

The union says no negotiations are scheduled.

Donald Trump opened the casino in 1990, but it now belongs to the Republican presidential nominee's friend Carl Icahn.

The union wants health insurance and pension benefits restored. A bankruptcy court judge had allowed the casino's former owners to eliminate those benefits in 2014.

Damn unions, wanting health insurance.

Is Dr. Roger Marshall a Dentist? The man has a set of choppers. Maybe he is just super happy about his win. He said it was all about the Ag, not about the Trump, but he also called his opponent Lying Tim.

Hillary covered all this in her speech from a tie factory in Colorado, but indicated where he could make each item in each state (mostly swingish states).
