Trump Dreck II: The Wrath of the Khans (politics)

my weekly trek into Breitbartbrought up this nugget of gold:
Gun Owners of America (GOA) just released a radio ad that will run statewide in Arizona, urging voters to support Kelli Ward and end the senatorial run of “gun-grabbing globalist” John McCain.
The ad will run in Phoenix, Prescott, Yuma, and Kingman and air approximately 500 times.

McCain will probably wait until after this primary to officially unendorse The Donald, if he ever does. If he does it now, maybe he loses:
Ward is McCain’s “lone challenger” and polls show the two locked in statistical dead heat. For example, Real Clear Politics reported June numbers showing McCain leading by two percentage points in PPP poll with a margin of error 3.7 percent.

GOA gives McCain a D- grade in his handling of gun rights, and they want to see Ward unseat him.

Then there's The Donald, McCain's presidential endorsement:
“He has not done a good job for the vets, and I’ve always felt that he should have done a much better job for the vets. So I’ve always had a difficult time with John for that reason, because our vets are not being treated properly. They’re not being treated fairly.”

John McCain: Hater of guns, hater of vets, lover of The Donald.

The Donald's new tactic will be to demand that Stein and Johnson get put into the debates. This will try to put Hillary on the defensive and deflect from him how poorly he'll do because Stein is more than happy to go after Hillary for killing puppies in a debate and many non-libertarian non-conservative people seem willingly fooled by Johnson.

Pence "strongly" endorsed Ryan lol wtf
Two days later I get a text back that says I'm a basketball player and a businessman, not a Thundercat.

Is AZ an open primary? If so, I'd think that a number of independents and Dems would come vote for him if he did unendorse Trump.

Yup. It certainly looks that way. Trump just wants the title.

I guess he thinks he can divy up the Presidency into President and Prime Minister, or King and Prime Minister

I saw Milo at a bar a few weeks ago. I'm surprised he goes out in public. I'm sure there's lots of people would like to punch him.

You can't explicitly tie a contribution to a legislative outcome with a deadline. If a private corp. did that you would be calling the banners for war.

"We told senators that our members are disappointed that Senator Sweeney has failed to meet his explicit commitment to place the pension amendment on the November ballot and urged them to call for a vote on the resolution by Aug. 8. Elected officials know that our members will not allow NJEA to support candidates who do not support their priorities," he said.

The president of the NJEA said earlier this week Sweeney made the unions a promise to put the constitutional amendment to a vote this year and any delay is unacceptable.

This is how it works. You elect leadership who follows you. The union has every right to urge its members to donate or not donate to a candidate. After donating money, the politician then renegs on their promise. You can withhold further money until promise is kept. A lobbyist informed politicians they wouldn't get their money and now they go crying foul. I don't see the problem. What law was ACTUALLY broken here? You're the one that's always talking about the realism of politics.

He is trying to change the issue from him not bringing it up to the union being the ones at fault and trying to get votes out of it.

That was their response and the way they are framing it.

They called the State Dem Chair and told him they would not be donating to any Sen. or county committee this year if the bill was not passed in next week's session. That is at best unethical.

So should they donate then?

it's almost like money in politics is very important.
