I underestimated how much work I had to do tonight. Probably have another hour and a half to go. Data entry while drunk is fun, to be quite honest, especially when you tell yourself each hour of it is worth a handle of whiskey or two large pizzas.

In college I compared the amount of money I made to how much it cost to get a large pizza. I feel like it puts the work you do in proper perspective.

I saw something on the news this morning about a new comparative cost of living study that includes how much time someone making the average wage would have to work to buy a Big Mac. It was something like 14 minutes in NYC, 12 in Chicago, and 129 in Mexico City.

This seemed sort of clever and mildly interesting, but not really telling. And the thought of anyone making a location decision from that information is just profoundly sad.

The pizza standard, used by one guy in college, makes a lot more sense.

There's a local pizza place around the corner, Frank's pizza, that sells the cheesiest large pizza for $7 on certain days. I haven't figured out what days this is, based on me usually settling for Elios. Typing this made me want a half pie.
