Here are a few flags as they are shown on Wikipedia when used to identify someone's nationality. Note that they vary in height, but most are taller than the U.S. flag. The U.S. flag is 12 pixels high. If they made the flag 13 pixels high then they could have alternating red and white stripes. Instead they make it twelve pixels high (shorter than most other flags) and have a muddle of pink in the middle. This is the kind of pointless sloppiness that bugs me. (yes, I go through life in a state of semi-permanent annoyance)

Okay, I spend all this time restructuring the Sunday School for when it begins in mid-September. I figure out opening activities, get new books for the teachers (who are all volunteer, of course), and I call a meeting for the teachers and all who would like to help and make this something new and exciting.

We have a new teacher for the senior high class. Yay! She seems open to all of the ideas we talk about, and I think she'll have fun with the kids, and they'll enjoy her. She's the only one my age who comes to worship regularly (well, her and her husband).

The other two teachers? Well, they've been doing this for years, and let me know on no uncertain terms that they will be doing exactly what they have been doing, so fuck all the plans I made (which they knew about and were fine with a few weeks ago) AND my restructuring the ages isn't what they want, so they'll do the same age groups they've always done, which is TOO FREAKIN LARGE BECAUSE THREE YEAR OLDS SHOULDN'T BE IN THE SAME CLASS WITH SIX YEAR OLDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MOTHER FUCK!!!!

I am going to hit my head against a frickin' wall. We had all of these things planned and if it fails, it's because people think that the same damn things that worked for them when they were in the 1960s will work today.
