I had been seriously considering it for the last six months. I think I would have done it if my parents lived in a city, or even the center of a town, but I'd go nuts out among the strip malls with no friends about.

I'd say it's a bad idea. Because then the "mom's basement" jokes we're all so found of would start hitting a little close to home.

I work from home. It makes little sense for me to pay 1k a month to sit on a couch, when I can do that from home. I could save up before grad school (and actually focus on the grad school app thing).

I'm having a hell of a time finding a place to live down here as it is.

I think I'm moving home. Just need to talk to my employer and my roommate that I'm bailing on.

Water table is way too high in the Pine Barrens to have a basement

bahahahaha

I've been in serious talks with my buddy about finding a place we can both move to (he lives in the suburbs with his parents and wants to move to the city). But he just bought a car, which he kind of had to if he wanted to move because he works out in the 'burbs, so that's pushing things back a few months.

Then, the other night, I had a conversation with the parents about it all, and they basically told me how stupid it would be for me to rent a place. I haven't broken the news to my buddy yet, but I might just try to save up for a house and buy one when I get my raise in January.

The mitigating factor in all this is that if I had the opportunity to move out tomorrow, I would do it.
no offense but you are everything that's wrong with America

So the parents are ok/in favor of me moving home, and the boss doesn't care. Now I just need to stab my roommate in the back. I don't think I've ever gone so quick from idea to decision about something so big in my whole life, about 3.5 hours.

Why would your boss care where you live
you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

Eh I run errands for him in DC sometimes. Deliver crap to the Hill. Make printouts at Kinkos and bring them to meetings.

I'll definitely be doing GOTV for Christie. Oohhh, I can probably even switch my voter registration. Oh man, another reason to move home. As if saving $1500 a month on rent and food wasn't enough.

Ha! I'm in the top five, age-wise on this board... And several years older than Vox, as he loves to remind me...

Or did you mis-type #3 coming in '10?

Amusing, but what was the point of making that into a video? I could have read it in about two minutes.
they were a chick hanging out with her friends at a bar, the Phillies would be the 320 lb chick with a nose wart and a dick - Trent Steele

I'm going to drink for a few more hours. And be happily hungover tomorrow. Deciding not to pay rent for the next year really is quite a load off my shoulders. Maybe I'll finally read that Schumpeter book I bought.

peanut butter, banana and bacon sandwich
dipped in batter
deep fried
powdered sugar all over

sounds healthy
