The Pizza Hut program?

The "steel lock" prediction emphasis?

The "let's move quickly!" synonym?

Someone said "book it" with regards to Adam Eaton being good. I mean really. Maybe it was sarcasm. I hope.

Penn Relays last night was neat. And they let me in free, since it was distance night and I showed up sufficiently late.

I would have looked for you, if I'd had any idea who to look for. I've shown up for quite a number of distance nights, and it's always been free, but I was a little worried the policy had changed when I saw all the barriers set up and that they were wanding everyone. But there was no problem.

Fun night. The weather was actually pretty comfortable until very late. I admit I bailed before the men's 10k though, which I don't usually do, since it was past 11:30 and I had a train to catch to Jersey.

I had a friend in the women's Olympic development 5K, and I didn't stay the whole night. I was on the last turn, front row for the hour or two I was there. I love Penn Relays, but I havent gotten around to going the last couple years. Saturday morning is the best, when there are hours of h.s. 4x400s being run, one right after another. Back in high school, even when I wasnt running on saturday, I'd go early with a few teammates and we'd all pick our horses for each heat. I wasn't a gambler back then, but it was still so much fun.

Especially since I'm probably looking at going back sooner than I'd like.

Yeah, Penn Relays were the tits back in the day. I didn't run, but I threw shot and disc, I was pretty good and going there was humbling. I really miss spring track, it was the highlight of my year every year in high school.

Dick Jerardi was in the booth next to us at Chink's! I said "DJ, you're the best, man" when he was leaving and he patted me on the shoulder and said "Hey, how ya doin'?"
