Random Thoughts, by Jack Handey

It's kinda nice buying generous gifts for my parents now that I've got a grownup job and all, but it sucks spending 100 bucks on someone that isn't yourself. I will be using that Wii Fit every waking minute my dad isn't home.
no offense but you are everything that's wrong with America

text conversation that just happened around 12:45 between me and my friend, who presumably is still in State College:
her: want to get lunch?
me: when?
her: 1:15ish?
me: where at?
her: i don't care. any suggestions?
me: somewhere in Northeast Philly
her: oh crap, i had no idea who i was texting

really?

I had a similar occurrence yesterday with someone I knew in high school. All [SIC]

Him: (Calls me twice. I only pretended to like him, so I didn't answer)
Him: (Hours later, texts) Who's this?
Me: Bill
Him: (Suggests what my last name might be, wrong)
Me: No
Him: (Suggests another last name, wrong)
Me: No
Him: (Apparently realizing which Bill this was) Yo what's up u play n e poker lateley
Me: (I don't respond)
[End of conversation]

Ah, reconnecting with old high school chums... :|

I just realized I've been wearing a Nats shirt all day. I wonder if I'll work up the energy to change it before the game starts.

Because I have like three Nats shirts because if you go to games on Tuesdays, they give out free t-shirts. I'm sure this comes as a great shock to everyone, but I'm not the kind of guy that turns down free shit.

I got a Mets Pepsi fan whateverthehell t-shirt at Shea about five years ago when I out-jumped some actual Mets fan for it. (Months later, my cousin who lives in Wyncote told me that he saw me on TV getting the shirt.)

I consider it something like a spoil of war, particularly as the Phillies crushed them that night.

I wonder what % of posts over the past week have been about our announcers. We're at like 30% of the game threat.

omg random thoughts overlap

she said i was seeing double for three straight days
after i got born again
it felt strange but it was nice and peaceful
and it really pleased me to be around so many people
of course half of them were visions; half of them were friends from going through the program with me
no offense but you are everything that's wrong with America
