I thought about doing that-made me queasy to vote for any of those hacks. Next time I'll write in your name and maybe we'll get a plurality.

LOL - Thanks, Swish; I certainly appreciate any support I can get. If I get the nerve to run, maybe you'll be able to vote for me "for real" next year.

McCain will win Ohio. He won't win Pennsylvania. He won't win Florida.

I caught some of Chuck Todd on NBC this morning (Today show). He said that if Obama wins Virginia that McCain needs to sweep Ohio, North Carolina and Florida. If McCain loses any of those three (plus Virginia) it is as "close to checkmate as you can get".

Latest poll averages:
VA - Obama +4.4%
FL - Obama +1.8%
NC - McCain +0.4%
OH - Obama +2.5%

He also said that we may know the outcome of VA by 8pm tonight (polls close at 7pm).

Woke up at 10, about to head out to the grocery store. Come back, grab a snack and then head out to vote. Hopefully voting doesn't take more than an hour.

After voting, going to the ESPN Zone to watch Liverpool, eat chicken wings and drink beer. Then go to work, eat pizza, follow election returns, sob and drink whiskey.

I think it sounds like a pretty good day.

I'll be happy if we hold NJ-03 or 41 Senate seats by the time I go to bed. Gotta keep expectations reasonable.

I guess my earlier post didn't go through. (Or Vox deleted it...)

I'm in Cleveland at a polling site. It's a very nice day, but we have no line at all. Not sure what if anything this means. My guess/read is that Obama has banked huge leads thanks to early voting in many of these jump-ball states, including OH, but the question is how many of those votes he would have gotten anyway.

I'm going to shower and go vote now. I'm sick, so I hope I don't have to wait outside too long. I doubt there's a line.

im finding this mesmerizing today http://politics.betfair.com/

the mccain line to win just keeps climbing the payout went from 7:1 2 days ago to almost 20:1 now.

anyone out there convinced the republicans "are going to steal this election" should just go ahead and turn their 100 bucks into 2000 right now.

Just got back. Waited 1 1/2 hours in line. I was the 416th person to vote in my precinct in Chester County. The line was over 100 people long. Insane.

I've always said, that the cheating only accuonts for but-so-much. That Dems would have to win by a REALLY large margin to overcome the cheat factor. Perhaps this will happen. I think its going to be distrubingly close despite all the reports. Some very very funny stuff will be going down, hopefully it won't matter anyway.

But what about the areas where the Dems are cheating the Reps?
you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

Polls are packed across the borough of West Chester. My roommate voted at the Historical Society building and he was the 620th person to vote and it was just around noon. Around here that is a huge number so early in the day.

With the way his campaign has been going it could be close to 0% by tomorrow.

voted mid-morning here in (what has been?) Shays country, CT

no lines, paper ballots, easy pie

I like voting. It makes me feel young. I'm pretty sure some of the staff at my polling site were wearing powdered wigs
