Shut up, everyone knows only Rove steals elections. Except for JFK 50 years ago.

You can say that the popular vote means something but will anyone even remember that when the taxes really don't get cut? I am saying that NJ is already determined to be Obama so my McCain vote was meaningless. It shouldn't be that way. Every vote should count equally.

Except JFK didn't steal that election. His father and the Chicago mob probably were up to some shenanigans that delivered Illinois to Kennedy, but he would have won the electoral college without Illinois. And that's the only example Republicans ever cite, other than those that think voter-registration drives are cheating.
Democrats focusing on enrolling voters and getting them out to vote. For better or worse, it's their strategy - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But Democrats, generally speaking, don't try to suppress the vote or steal elections. We generally figure if there's a good turnout and every vote gets counted, we'll win our share.
Polls open at 7 am in Maryland, which I hate. I'm used to 6 am in Virginia, which gives people who want to beat the crowds a chance. I got to my polling place around 7:10 and it took about an hour, but it was well-run and orderly. I didn't hear a single raised voice the entire time.
Votes were recorded on a Diebold machine, so, to say the least, after I voted for president, I scrolled back a page to make sure my vote was recorded. I'll give Diebold this - at the end of your voting, it shows you a screen summarizing all your selections. I just hope they're recorded that way.

Well, I do think the electoral college should be abolished, if that's what you're getting at. Why should 8 states get to choose the President for the other 42? And why should Delaware have 3 electoral votes?
And, I think there are too many polls.
