Retailers like Walgreen, Target, and Wal-mart are adding health clinics to their stores. Doctors groups are concerned because these clinics rely on family nurse practioners that could threaten patient safety. I recently visited one of these clinics. I became rather alarmed when the "nurse practioner" told me that just last week she was a Wal-mart greeter.
