i believe they work tuesday thru saturday so that may be why
it's just their last regular day of their work week

So if I send an overnight package on friday, and don't select saturday delivery, my package doesn't get delivered until tuesday?

No, this is just the 'home delivery' offering. Standard FedEx would deliver that on Monday (or even Saturday at an additional cost).

One odd thing about living in Arkansas is the leaves. It's pretty breezy out now (a stomr is approaching) and leaves are falling from the trees like crazy. This happens, I think, in part because it hasn't rained in a couple of weeks, as is typical this time of year.

So, you say, Phan Paul will be raking leaves by late September. But you'd be wrong. In fact, I really don't rake until December, because ithe leaves don't really start falling until mid-November. So, basically, we've got falling leaves for 5 months of the year.

Russia is pulling a page out of the Nazi book by offering rewards for having babies.

WWIII is inevitable at some point in the relatively near future IMO. We are basically just waiting for that one fail safe missile defense program to be developed. Once the nuclear deterrent is gone how much longer can we honestly expect the world to stay at peace given history?

I actually don't even like our chances in that situation. I think we'd be able to defeat Russia, but their allies are far stronger than our allies I'd have to think.

I think this is basically the same premise that Tom Clancy had in one of his books.

Why would the US or Russia want to invade the other?

Neither has to necessarily be invaded.

Which allies are you talking about? Serbia?

Artic ice has shrunk to the lowest level on record and the melting is continuing according to the National Snow and Ice Data Center. In fact, there hasn't been this much ice melting since Hillary Clinton accidently fell asleep inside a tanning bed.

I don't really want a WALLBANGER, but if I see the commercial a thousand more times I might end up with one.

I heard an ESPN radio host refer to KR as "the great Ken Rosenthal" on my ride back from Williamsport. I don't think he was being facetious.

Hallmark should have a card for that.

Funny thing is, he's watching the Phils. Of course this all happened when the Pirates had the bases loaded and it was still only 1-0. Maybe that fart woke up the Phils bats?

HaHa I just checked the results of the PGA tournament today and I won $300 on some dude named Brant Snedeker. I put $15 on two golfers at 20/1 odds (Snedeker and Jon Byrd) and $10 on Steve Allan at 40-1. I know nothing about golf but I just play the odds- especially if Tiger isn't in the tournament. Although I won a couple hundred on Tiger a few weeks ago too, but he was only at 5/2 odds. It can't be this easy, can it? I'm probably just incredibly lucky.

I guess that will pay for the $235 football card I bought this week.

calling off work and sleeping in until 2:30 was one of the best decisions I've made recently.
