Game 3 of the season, he threw 50 pitches in 2 innings of relief.

He threw 28 and 29 back-to-back games April 14-15 (games 8 and 9)... 28 and 29 would have been his 3rd and 4th longest outing in 2014.

A week later, he threw 48, and then closed out April throwing 35 and 43.

Still, after pitching 3 consecutive days in mid-May, he had a 2.45 ERA. From that point on, though, he had a 6.42.

Sandberg destroyed him in April.

Wow. Didn't realize it was that bad.

I like leake out of the FA starters. If you go to five years on him thats still only his age 28-32 seasons. Im down to do that because id like to start purging tye dreck out of the rotation sooner rather than later. If you can get him at the Ervin santana deal from last off season (4-55 with vesting option), all the better

I don't know about Leake's physical condition. There were rumors in Cincinnati that he had some arm/shoulder concerns. If he would check out, he'd be a nice addition.

That blurb mentions $180 minutes lion over a long contract

according to that article 180 over 8 would be 90 over 4, but you gotta pay premium for 4, so more like 100-ish.

25mil a year for 4 years, wouldn't blink if Ryan Howard was off the books. The time you want Heyward is 2017-2020 so maybe a 5 year deal. But I don't see him signing for under 18-21mil a year? What's the market for him now? His age is helpful to his cause.

Article says Larry Beinfest interviewed with the Phils a few weeks ago and that Ross Atkins and Ng will interview soon.

I hope Kim brings all of her cell phones. I hear she's up to at least three.
