I'd be pretty happy if they got Delino Deshields, Matt Skole or Jared Mitchell in the Rule 5 draft.

Salisbury writes this about Sandberg's latest interview session:

He said Cody Asche might get some time in left field and at first base in spring training as the team looks to improve his versatility. Asche will come into camp as the incumbent third baseman but will be pushed by Maikel Franco, a promising hitter and top defender.

Chase Utley has also played first base and has indicated a willingness to play the outfield. I'm just saying.

He's just an awkward guy I think. I met him before Charlie got fired and he was nice and smiley just kinda weird.

Trivia night = poor phone posts. I forgot that dick was our coach. Not an out couch. That sounds bad though so I'm fine calling Ryne an out couch.

Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

Sandberg seems intellectually dull to me.
So he fits right in with this Phillies administration.

We'll get a skinny catcher and a sore armed reliefer.

Is that similar to what we got for Jim Thome?

So I think we have the 9th pick and perhaps even sooner if 1-8 don't have any room on their 40 man roster.

According to sources, the Phillies would have to have one of these players to part with Hamels. The Phillies are particularly high on Swihart.

I'm not really digging Swihart as the centerpiece of a trade for Hamels.

This may be the wrong attitude to have, but I do not like the idea of having the main piece of a Hamels trade being a catcher. They just get hurt too often and it is really important to get something of value back here to start the rebuild with.
