Fine. You wanna act like you're two? I'll act like I'm one.

Given that Gillick has already said we are "not competing" seems like a good time to take a flier or 2 in the Rule 5 draft and either stash them or run them out there. Delino Deshields Jr. seems like a guy. or make Matt Skole an OF.

Agree completely. Best way to get some guys who are young and cheap and give them a shot. If they work out, you still get their pre-arb / arb years, if not you cut bait.

Hopefully it's more of a Victorino rule 5 pick than a Mini-Mart one

He really does. I'm in the why not category. Our CF is Ben Revere. I'd take Deshields in a heartbeat and let him get some ABs.

That same house out here in the Bay Area, in SF, in Marin or down on the Peninsula, even the East Bay Hills -- is 6-7-8mil

Does anyone have the listing for Papelbon's Center City condo which I heard was listed for just under 7mil? I didn't know Philly had pads that expensive and I'm curious what one gets for that in Philly?

Big red flag--pics in the listing from 2009. I wonder what Roy has done to the place since then.

Neither could Chase Utley at the same time in his career, so it's only a matter of time until Asche will be able to.

no way. the whole reason i post here instead of elsewhere is because i can count on the random tangents and general silliness and posts by people with an actual sense of humor (and also interesting ideas like squire's) to make me smile and restore my sense of perspective. you folks never let me down.
