How do you know this is true? An article was just put out about how the youngsters in the pen are praising him on how he helps them out.

We've heard rumblings for the last couple of years that he's not very well liked in the clubhouse. Salisbury even mentioned it in one of his reports. He just rubs people the wrong way, especially because he can't keep his mouth shut.
And tonight was just another example of that. He's a condescending prick.

Yeah he shouldn't have been so honest, maybe he should have said he would block all trades until he gets Jose Mesa's teams saves record

That's not my point at all. Players have been answering these questions for decades and they all seem content to give pretty diplomatic answers. But not the great Papelbon who has to be a dick about it.
The guy is a dick, plain and simple. But by all means, defend him.

Drew Pomeranz (hand) is likely to be optioned to Triple-A Sacramento when he's ready to return from the disabled list.
The A's no longer have a need in the rotation following the addition of Jeff Samardzija and Jason Hammel, and they'd rather keep Pomeranz stretched out at Triple-A rather than put him in the bullpen. It's also possible the club could use him as trade bait in an effort to add second base help. The lefty is nearly ready for a rehab assignment. Jul 9 - 9:45 AM
