RANDAMARO PHILLIES THOUGHTS

Or he has boosted his value to the club by making it known that his services are available to any contender regardless of if a team is on his do not trade list, increasing the pool of potential bidders, and you all are whining for the sake of whining.

I'm not whining, JH. If anyone is whining, it's you. I just said I think he's stupid. Once. I don't know why you seem to need to defend every asshole on the planet. If he bit Utley on the shoulder, you would just say he had a bad day.

And don't you think he could have made it known his services were available anywhere by some other means? That's the point. He's throwing people under the bus unnecessarily.

He wants to win. Contending teams are generally winning teams.
Fine. You wanna act like you're two? I'll act like I'm one.

An athlete was honest and people go ape shit about it, he should have answered with the ole " I think we can win here" cliche. People that want the phillies to rebuild are bitching about this, I can't imagine how bad the bitching would be if he said he would block any trade

Please. We don't even watch or make gamethreads anymore, and we're offended as all fuck when someone not from here wants to GTFO.

Hope he goes to a contender, then blows. But that's because I hate every other team. Not because of him.

If I were a Phillie, particularly an import like him, I'd wipe my ass with a picture of Montgomery at my locker after a game. Couldn't get out of this place fast enough. Players suck. Management is retarded.

How do you know this is true? An article was just put out about how the youngsters in the pen are praising him on how he helps them out.

We've heard rumblings for the last couple of years that he's not very well liked in the clubhouse. Salisbury even mentioned it in one of his reports. He just rubs people the wrong way, especially because he can't keep his mouth shut.

And tonight was just another example of that. He's a condescending prick.

Yeah he shouldn't have been so honest, maybe he should have said he would block all trades until he gets Jose Mesa's teams saves record

That's not my point at all. Players have been answering these questions for decades and they all seem content to give pretty diplomatic answers. But not the great Papelbon who has to be a dick about it.

The guy is a dick, plain and simple. But by all means, defend him.

I don't care that he wants to leave. I can understand that. It's the obnoxious way he's going about it that I find annoying. But really, I wouldn't have posted more than one post about it. It's not like I care much at this point. Maybe it will help make it look like Amaro has lost control.

He isn't the 1st to say he'd waive a NTC and won't be the last, and he gave a straight forward answer. Many people on this board bitch about not getting real answers from athletes and coaches, he gives one...that actually helps the Phillies and people bitch about it. Most athletes are dicks, fuck Utley and Lee are probably the 2 biggest dicks in that clubhouse

A massive haul indeed. Urias is the number 8 pitching prospect in baseball as per BP. He is 17 and will probably finish the year in AA.

Pedersen, besides being my favorite non Phillie prospect, is ranked 17th, two slots below Urias. He is big league ready.

That alone would be enough for me.

Bowden is interesting. I've heard from Scouty insiders that he is amazingly good at scouting prospects. A great guy to talk to at a batting cage or in the scouting section of the stands during a minor league game.
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can

Drew Pomeranz (hand) is likely to be optioned to Triple-A Sacramento when he's ready to return from the disabled list.
The A's no longer have a need in the rotation following the addition of Jeff Samardzija and Jason Hammel, and they'd rather keep Pomeranz stretched out at Triple-A rather than put him in the bullpen. It's also possible the club could use him as trade bait in an effort to add second base help. The lefty is nearly ready for a rehab assignment. Jul 9 - 9:45 AM

Hard to imagine a team winning a championship with a space cadet closer like Pap
