What do you want him to do? He's lost weight and has done conditioning work, he's worked with the coaches and listened to hitting advice from everyone you could imagine. I mean, he could have gone all Mo Vaughn and gotten fat and be a dick and not listen to coaching, but he hasn't, he's just not good at baseball anymore, which is 100% on rube.

Pretty amazing. It's the right move. He no longer serves a purpose here and to the extent he prevents them from trying different options, he is impeding the effort to improve.
