Howard not talking about not playing, possible platoon. "Talk to him," he said, leaving clubhouse. "Bye. Talk to the manager."
Bye.

Anyway
2011 - 3/12 with 1 walk, 2K, 1 sac fly gets
2012 - 5/14 with 2 walks, 3K, 1HR
2013 - 0/2
Gets you an obp of .344, slg of .500 and 3 walks and 5K. Clearly even in 2012 where he was terrible, he hit Hudson well, but is that because he "Sees the ball well against Hudson" or because he gets hot every once in a while and happened to play against Hudson. Won't we see for RH pitchers who have been around for more than 5 years stats that indicate that Ryan Howard terrorized those players? How relevant is what he did back in 08/09?

You're always dealing with uncertainty and small sample sizes when you're referring to batter vs. pitcher stats. But, given that you take sandberg at his word and Howard is being platooned, you need to find pitchers that Howard is expected to have success against. I'm sorry you're disappointed that the "Howard does better than Hudson than against other pitchers, even since he's been crappy" conclusion is not what you expected, but Howard is not terrible against soft tossing RHP.
