You tell Howard he will NEVER have an important ab against LH again (and frankly shaming him is part of the goal) and you have Ruf playing against the lefties and suddenly you have the great 1B you thought you were spending 25 million on in the first place. All for 25.4 million.

Would be ideal. Howard is still solid against RHP.

Against LHP, only Ike Davis has a lower OBP over the last two years. He has a 10 to 1 K/BB ratio. It's not just that he is bad, it's that he is literally one of the 2 or 3 worst HITTERS in baseball against LHP. He is an abomination. And he provides no other value (significant negative value actually). Someone please think of the children and stop the madness.

We do need to think of the children they are our future after all and diversity is our strength.

Yeah. We're stuck with Howard. Platoon him and get max value. I like that idea.

I like Howard a lot in the non-baseball sense. He seems like a real good guy. Hope he can provide some value when he comes back. He's an RBI man after all.

As far as the context in which I judge dumb remarks, Howard is 180 degrees from Papelbon. Good guy, huge contributor to the great years. Can't blame him for the FO's stupidity.

Your unbridled optimism all makes sense now.
I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is yes. I have a nick name for my penis. Its called the Octagon, but I also nick named my testes - my left one is James Westfall and my right one is Doctor Kenneth Noisewater.

Some downplay the impact that Revere's injury had on this team but Rollins and MY have done shit in the leadoff spot since his injury.

Next year with a healthy Ben Revere and a rejuvenated Ryan Howard and Ashe at 3B and that Cuban guy and some thumper to play RF to give us a Domonic/Revere/Thumper outfield we'll be right in the thick of it.

The Barves are whiney baby suck asses. The Nats blow. The Mets and Marlins Blow.

We win the division next year book it.

This team is easily an 86 win team if you take away the injuries and add Mike Trout.

Charlie on Mayberry"

"I can’t explain to you how the guy can be holding him on, how he can have a short lead … and he gets picked off,” Manuel said. “(Plays like that) inexcusable. When you’re playing like we are now, you’ve got to really be concentrating on staying focused and playing the game right and cutting down and eliminating mistakes. ... The more that you see mistakes and the more you see somebody keep making mistakes over and over and over and over, that might tell you what kind of player that he is. If I’m going to be responsible, I think other people have to be responsible too, especially the ones that play the game.”

Yikes. I agree with him. Mayberry is a dumb player. He just doesn't look like he has any baseball instincts.

Charlie saw Mayberry laying on the ground, so he ran em over then backed up and went over em again.
