Can't say im that happy witha trade that sends Cliff to another team. All it really seems the difference is you get Lee/Halladay to a new extension. Honestly we could of signed Lee to an extension and kept our prospects...

Lee won every game in the playoffs. Halladay at best can only match that. To beat a team like the Yankees or even the Red Sox, we need both in the rotation.

Having both, even if it's just for one year, makes us damn near unbeatable in a 7 game series.

He's going to trade Blanton for two prospects, both of whom will be packaged with Taylor and two other prospects from our system plus a PTBNL, and sent to Toronto. Toronto will send 5M back in the deal.

He keeps Lee. Every news outlet marvels at his ability to keep Lee while adding Halladay. He smugly grins.
