Do the Dodgers have a left handed starter I don't know about?

Kershaw is a lefty.

Not one Dodger lefty threw even one pitch in the Cubs series.

Prediction: I do think the Dodgers are going to be a little tougher than the Brewers.

Game 1--Phillies 21 Dodgers 1
Game 2--Phillies 45 Dodgers0
Game 3 Phillies 23 Dodgers -7
Game 4 Phillies 24 Dodgers 2

The Dodgers won 84 games this season. Their winning percentage since getting Manny (excluding the playoffs) is worse than the Phils winning percentage for the entire year. And that's even with getting to play a lot of those games against a bunch of teams who finished around .500 or worse in their own division. They had a losing record against the NL East (16-18) while the Phils went 20-12 against the West. Most of their starters are righties and our best two hitters are lefties.

I think we can do this.

Phils in 6.

I find it increasingly pathetic the little media attention, coverage and overall neutrality bestowed upon our Phightin Phils. I was watching sportscenter last night, and I counted about 14 stories that came on BEFORE the Phillies. Somehow, I doubt that the White Sox/Rays game is more important since, you know, it's still going on.

But of course, that has to be followed with his majesty, Terrible Owens for 7 hours.

God forbid the media realizes that this is the 6th largest city in the country and an even larger media market. However, ESPN with their heads up their collective asses isn't anything new to me.

I just hadn't realized that Joe Torre and Manny Ramirez cured cancer, stopped the genocide in Darfur, fixed the economy, and saved a few children from a burning building surrounded by a legion of Al-Qaeda, Hamas, the Taliban and Hezbollah.

Phillies in 5. I think we lose the game started by Kuroda as he's been incredibly tough on the Phillies this year.

Phillies match up well with their starters, and if Hamels/Myers/Blanton can keep pitching well, they have a really good shot. So much hinges on whether Utley and Howard can get it going, but it looks like Burrell, Rollins, Werth, and Victorino have found grooves.

I actually like being the "underdogs" (as much as a 92 win team can be the underdog against an 84 game winner).

Phillies in 7.

Phillies in 6.

I think we win 1, 2, 4 and 6. We lose the Kuroda vs Moyer matchup and the second Hamels vs Lowe game.

To win $100 on the Phillies, you'd need to bet $129. To win $119 on the Dodgers, you need to bet $100. We're slight favorites.

You people really think this is going to take six games? I mean, you can knock my superfan prediction on the other page, but I really do think we'll get this in 5.

I'll be enthralled if they do it in the bottom of the 20th in game 7, so whatever.

Just the way it worked out. We'll see a lot of Beimel and Kershaw (if he doesn't start). Wonder if Kuo will be healthy and activated for the NLCS. If so, he can be tough. Haven't heard anything about his arm problem for the last week.

The national media are bad, but the local media aren't much better. I go over to Philly.com to see how the city is celebrating getting into the NLCS. And even stories on the Phillies kept mentioning the Eagles' loss. They go and find all these bummed out Eagles fans. For stories that are supposed to be about the Phillies.

I'm all for taking winning this series in stride--the job isn't done yet. But the Eagles lost. Get over it. There's plenty of football left to play after the Phils are done with the playoffs.
