Kavanaugh referenced Bush v. Gore, the court's opinion that decided the 2000 election along partisan and ideological lines and is still so controversial that it is rarely cited as precedent. He is one of three current justices -- along with John Roberts and Amy Coney Barrett -- who worked on Bush's side during the legal fight at the time.

The positive of Biden winning, to me, is the streets of our major cities should be relatively peaceful on election night. If Trump were in a better position to be re-elected I'd be nervous about the response from the radicalized left. The radicalized right has their guns but I don't see the same type of outburst. The CBS News network has reportedly hired full-time security for “60 Minutes” correspondent Lesley Stahl following a death threat one of her family members received after her exclusive interview with President Donald Trump.
The network’s decision came shortly after an unidentified suspect called Stahl and threatened her and her family saying “something about neo-Nazis,” according to TMZ. The mysterious call came just hours before Trump leaked his own copy of the interview via Facebook.

The Post, a Rupert Murdoch-owned paper that ingratiated itself to Trump this month by publishing unverified allegations about Joe Biden, enthusiastically endorsed Trump’s reelection bid on Monday, despite backing neither major candidate in the 2016 general election and imploring readers to “vote for the one you dislike least.”
The Boston Herald (a right-leaning tabloid controlled by hedge fund Alden Global Capital) and the Colorado Springs Gazette (owned by conservative billionaire Philip Anschutz) also lent their support to Trump this year after sitting out the 2016 race — though at least one member of the Herald’s news staff spoke out against their paper’s decision on Tuesday.
The family-owned Spokesman-Review of Spokane, Wash. endorsed Trump “with misgivings” this year, despite supporting challenger Hillary Clinton in 2016.
The conservative Washington Times — owned by members of the late Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s Unification Church — endorsed Trump in both 2016 and 2020, but Tuesday’s reelection endorsement was decisive and unambiguous, compared to a more hesitant 2016 nod emphasizing Trump and Clinton’s flaws.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal, owned by Trump mega-donor Sheldon Adelson, again endorsed the president earlier this month, echoing its enthusiastic 2016 Trump nod.
