Some counties are starting surpass their 2016 totals of all votes cast. 2016 had the highest turnout as far as total voters. 2020 will surely pass it.

While jtk is somewhat accurate what he doesn’t highlight is that the availability of more days and time to vote will allow for more people to vote. That will help drive voter turnout.

And the fact that at least here in PA the Dems did a very good job advertising how to vote and where to vote and when to vote.
On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

It's a completely and absolutely bonkers take. Hillary is one of the most hated presidential candidates in history.

The thing is most of the BSG posted hand-wringing has little to do with Trump's strengths, 2016, etc. Whether conscious or not, it's because Biden is the nominee instead of the BSGers preferred candidate.

Kind of an "even if we win, we lose" attitude.

Not from me it isn’t. I have always liked good old Uncle Joe. Sure I would have preferred Bernie but I am not a child. Biden absolutely has to win. That’s what’s got me so sick.

Yeah, I wanted Bernie too but I'm more concerned about what will happen to prevent a fair election. I think that's a pretty unfair assessment

No, it's because we've seen the magician act from Trump many times over the last 4 years. The 2016 election was just the first time he escaped what appeared to be a certain loss. He's done it multiple times since. I think what you are seeing from people who are nervous is more of a precautionary principle thing. The downside of relaxing and acting like things will be fine is too large. Better to be vigilant.

I made peace with Biden a long time ago, regardless of who my first choice was. I believe Biden is the man for this moment. He's decent, a known commodity, known for reaching across the aisle, and has somehow remained pretty scandal-free despite being in DC for decades. He is the anti-Trump. I don't really believe in fate, but if I did, I would see his presence as a sign of it.

For me, it is straight up fear of a 2016 repeat. My top candidate did not even make it to Super Tuesday.

This is a bit like saying, "I know you got burned badly the last time you touched the stove, but the real reason you don't want to touch the stove again is because you don't really like the brand of the stove."

Was that directed at my comment? Actually, the real reason I am afraid to touch the stove again is because I got burnt the first time; I could give a shit what brand it is. I am completely fine with Joe Biden and will enthusiastically cast my ballot for him next Tuesday.

several democrats on the book of faces have reported getting texts from some entity alleging to be democrats saying that biden has "proposed sex change operations for children as young as eight". (I paraphrased, but I saw two different versions of it anyway). I guess that's what the russians or iranians did with the stolen voter info.

for context, there were 6,115,402 votes tallied in PA for the 2016 general. So far 1,461,135 votes are in, or 23.89% of the 2016 total.
