True, which among other things proves some things about latent sexism: Palin was widely regarded as a joke, Trump is President of the United States.

Did he actually say this? Like admitting he was going to lose?

I'm surprised they left out the "maybe" at the end of that quote; he can't even bring himself to accept that anyone might not love him.

He will pretty obviously not do it and when asked he will make fun of it and tell people to ignore "the governors", even his buddy Murphy.

Trump was/is just as big of a joke, though, just (unfortunately) a more effective one in the end. IMO that was a big reason he did end up getting elected - nobody took his candidacy seriously until, well, he won the election.

Wasn't Palin a net win for McCain, or am I remembering that wrong?

Well this kind of stuff will not help to quiet the absurd claims that the upcoming president election will be "the most corrupt election in the history of our country":

In the wake of rampant allegations of voter fraud in the Paterson City Council race, the New Jersey Attorney General filed voting fraud charges Thursday against a city councilman and a council-elect.

Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal announced voting fraud charges against 1st Ward Councilman Michael Jackson, 3rd Ward Council-Elect Alex Mendez and two other men, weeks after the May 12 local election in which the Passaic County Board of Elections decided not to count 800 city ballots found scattered across different municipalities.

But the Democrats have a secret weapon in 2020 on the other side of the age spectrum: senior voters. Among this age group — voters 65 and older — polls so far this year reveal a dramatic shift to the Democrats. That could be the most consequential political development of this election.

The bipartisan States of Change project estimates that Mrs. Clinton lost this group by around 15 points. By contrast, the nonpartisan Democracy Fund + U.C.L.A. Nationscape survey, which has collected over 108,000 interviews of registered voters since the beginning of the year, has Mr. Biden leading among seniors by about six points. We are looking at a shift of over 20 points in favor of the Democrats among a group that should be at least a quarter of voters in 2020. That’s huge.

@WestWingReport

The Tik Tok crowd has figured out another way to mess with the Trump campaign. You know how on Amazon, you might put something in your shopping cart - but then never get around to actually buying it? It messes up a company's inventory management - costly to that company

So what happened to Beto O'Rourke? Is he running for something or does he still keep his seat in the House?

To think, a friend of mine genuinely believed that AOC could be defeated in the primary? :lol:

Here's a possible scandal that's received no attention. The Commerce Department is responsible for the census, and this is of course a census year. You may remember the flap about the citizenship question, but there were other problems with Trump's administration simply not doing the preparation normally considered an important part of the Census. Of course, the census occurs in April, and the mailings did go out and people were able to complete it. But as always, lots of people didn't. (It probably varies a lot, but it's looking like 50-60% of households have completed the census.) Lil' Vulture was in fact hired in February to work as an enumerator, a job that was supposed to start in May. But it does not look like any of the field activities or even the distribution of literature house to house is going to happen this summer. (It was supposed to start in May.) Even given Covid-19, the whole thing seems massively disorganized and poorly run.

Makes sense. All Trump has done is throw two middle fingers up at them while this virus ravages their demographic while consistently throwing age-related insults at Biden.
