That was a prime site for river crossings. So, if people are crossing the river, and you happen to be in a civil war, I would say that people were shot — a lot of them.

In other words, he put three and three together and got 26.

And the fact of the matter is that it was not a prime river crossing, there was not a ferry or a road on either side of the Potomac that would lend any credence to that. It was heavily wooded up into the 80s still. It was not even farmland. At one point it was prime real estate for the Seneca tribe and this area in particular they harvested sugar maples. That's just a little local history, please note that none of that includes an incredible civil war battle.

But since we're talking about Virginia and the civil war, there were skirmishes everywhere here. mostly in this part of Virginia around vestibule gap which was surveyed by Washington, built on a need of American trail, and what it was paved became route 7. Does skirmishes, some raid, and an occasional minor battle mostly involving people who got lost and ended up in the wrong place. That is what this part of Virginia is to the civil war.

Considering the massive number of absentee and mail-in ballots that will need to be counted this year, how many days/weeks after the election will it take the media to proclaim a victor?

I am trying to be philosophical about things with the mindset of "if I could wait four years, what's another six weeks until the Electoral College makes it official?"

With that said, the majority of Americans are going to want definitive news of Trump's defeat along with their morning coffee on 11/4 and there will likely be civil unrest without it.

Depends on the state. Plenty allow for mail ins to be counted as they arrive. Others can start some set time before election day. Hoping PA changes the rules so we can pre canvas even a week before election day.

I think people should be fined for not wearing a mask indoors in public.

Repeat offenders should be tried for attempted murder.

I was surprised and maybe slightly confused to see that the Lincoln project has reached out to endorse Montana's governor, Steve Bullock, for senate. But their mean goal to neuter Trump, it's a little surprising to me that they're dipping into that election. I wonder who's lined up as governor in Montana?

Montana is a good bit like the anti-Philadelphia or Washington DC where your Democrat and any other part of the country would be a mean stream Republican. I think the only shocker is that Democrats have been elected at all. I spent a fair bit of time in Montana, and their political game is a very different animal than here on the East coast.

Trump defended his appearance on Fox News on Saturday morning, saying he “dominated T.V. with my interview on Thursday night.”

Dundle bumpkin in his magical trip to hannity Town. He gets the love from hannity even when he flat out shows that he's an idiot. Dominated Thursday night TV come on man. I don't go back to trying to be a TV star, and make him stop trying to ruin America.

PressSec doesn’t deny the intel but says it was never shared with trump or pence. That seems highly unlikely.

They are doing the same thing with Graham in SC. I was surprised because I thought they were just anti-Trump, but it seems like they are also attacking the people who support him. Makes sense. Tear out the foundation under his support and see if anyone is brave enough to fill the void.

If it wasn't shared, that's a scandal by itself.

But given what was happening with impeachment and the seriousness of another country paying to kill our soldiers, it is nearly impossible he wasn't told. Beyond a reasonable doubt, you might say.

Sounds like they can pretty much arrest whoever they want. Task force for an imaginary group.

https://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/barr ... extremists

According to a memo obtained by the Washington Post, Barr on Friday directed staff to create a task force focused specifically on countering “anti-government extremists.” The “extremists” reportedly include groups “of all persuasions.” The task force will focus specifically on the nebulous “antifa” movement as well as supporters of a far-right mentality referred to as “Boogaloo,” a movement that openly advocates for a civil war, according to the Post.
