What a shitty comic. First, the obvious antisemitism. Second, there is no step where President Trump loses, so he's the one who is enacting the takeover.

That's what I thought, which is why I thought the antisemitism was obvious.

Don’t sweat it, Garrison has plenty of anti Semitic tropes in his work either way.

I plan on flying back East in July/August if things look better. And I know my parents are going to Florida for Labor Day... which I find foolish, but they won't sacrifice the trip to visit my Aunt and Uncle that was delayed in April.

I'm still planning my national parks trip for the end of July if they are open.

Many people want to get away, even if only a drive to the beach.

The idea that the WHO or China or anyone for that matter would immediately know the severity of this virus is so laughable. People may have been dying in October for all we know but we would be none the wiser for months especially if it was killing folks with pre existing conditions.

The WHO or China could have withheld because neither knew enough to communicate (or knew anything was amiss at all).

thinking they will probably be limited to discourage an onslaught of people. visitor centers, campgrounds and large parking lots closed. access to only "x" amount of cars a day. kinda sucks, cause me and the gf got family coming out here this summer and was planning to do a little four corners/southern utah excursion.

Ah, with takeout from the Cheesecake Factory in the same complex, watching a game on ESPN-SD for an hour before realizing they do actually have the HD channel. Lukewarm Yeungling from the fridge next to the front desk...I am there

I can't make anything of the data. Using COVID tracker, here are the April trends.

- Average daily testing increase - 3.9%; average daily tests - 147,086
- Average daily positive increase - 1.1%; average daily positive tests - 29,030
- Average daily positive rate of new tests - 20.0%

The five days with the highest decreases in positive tests in April were either a weekend or a Monday. Outliers on the other end are Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Since Thursday, we had five days in a row where new positive tests were less than the previous week, but that trend stopped yesterday.

Maybe, if the virus was here in January / February, there is a little herd immunity, but with testing remaining relatively flat, I am not sure if we can draw any conclusions beyond this feels like we're watching Sisyphus on loop.

Agree. Why is no one talking about the Monkeypox with upwards of 10% fatality rate? The WHO issued alerts on it, buy it's on no one's radar!
