It’s actually 70%

To respond to CFP above, that is the issue. People are going to continue to get really pissed if all this is about is saving people in nursing homes. Delco might actually be yellow right now if not for tracking the stats this way, oh and they include suspected cases for good measure!

People in nursing homes are still people

There may be a way to improve outcomes (ie. focus testing, and PPE support, on the workers in LTC facilities) without closing everything down, with this information. Interestingly, it wasnt that long ago that the stat was 50%.

Sounds reasonable. Meanwhile the mainstream news has been spreading panic about fewer than 100 cases of kids with Covid. I’m sure that will push the school year to 2021

And I’m not saying that people in nursing homes are not people. But I don’t think you can equate them with our hardest working most valuable citizens who are going to be ruined

I may be one of the few dems who support this stance but I do agree that trump seriously fucked this up and that you have to wonder who in the federal govt can be trusted at this point

Those deaths are the people that live here! They're just being cast aside.

Bell and Evans?

Yes

Where do they think the people are coming from? I managed the Bridgestone warehouse there when it opened. Other than folks who transferred nearly everyone came from 8 miles away in Lebanon.

The whole state of Arizona is essentially a long term care facility so who cares.

Lebanon county has said fuck all this, we are moving to yellow

https://www.wgal.com/article/lebanon-co ... g/32420696

The full text of the letter that Lebanon County officials sent to the governor is as follows:

"As elected officials of Lebanon County, this letter serves to inform you of our intention to move from the red phase to the yellow phase of your COVID- 19 Phased Reopening Plan, effective May 15, 2020.

"Lebanon County has met the requirement of your original Stay-at-Home Order, which was to flatten the curve of the COVID-19 outbreak and allow hospitals the time to gear up for COVID-19 patients being admitted to the ICU and in need of ventilators. The residents of our county have heeded your instructions to practice social distancing and other mitigation efforts, and as a result, our local health care facilities do not lack the capacity to effectively treat these patients going forward. Both PPE supply and the availability of COVID-19 tests have increased since mid-March. These factors have provided our local health care facilities with the confidence to address any upcoming concerns as Lebanon County moves to the yellow phase.

"We, as the local elected officials, have a vested interest in keeping our community safe and free from disease, and not over-burdening the health care facilities in the county. We have heard the pleas of our residents who desire the ability to safely reopen their businesses and safely return to work. Lebanon County plans to move forward and will require businesses who are ready to re-open to follow CDC guidelines including requirements such as hand washing, social distancing, and masks until further guidance is received for the county to move to the green phase."

The letter was signed by Sen. Dave Arnold, as well as Reps. Russ Diamond, Frank Ryan, and Sue Helm. County commissioners Bill Ames and Bob Phillips, District Attorney Pier Hess Graf, Coroner Dr. Jeffrey Yocum and Sheriff Bruce Klingler also signed.
