I really do not see what the big deal is. He didn't say he would have Republicans in his cabinet, only that he would not dismiss someone simply because they are a Republican. Like any good leader, Biden is committing to filling his cabinet with the best available people. Isn't that a superior approach to filling your cabinet with, say, relatives and inexperienced sycophants? It isn't like he is going to make Mitch McConnell Attorney General or something.

On a related note, I'm looking for another job. This will escalate as the election approaches and I don't want to get caught in the middle of it. I don't trust Trump to not start rounding up chinese people and I don't trust china to not respond in kind.

Not sure if I'll be able to find something where we can save as much money. The international market for teachers will collapse as students will likely not travel in this mess. Considering Alaska or someplace like that where teachers are paid well and we could go for 2 years while this blows over (if it blows over)
