Bernie Busted, Biden Ridin', Trump Lyin' Politics

I think the prevailing thinking is that as of today Biden is the favorite. Which wasn't the case not that long ago. It's also true, however, that polls aren't super predictive right now.

That said, Harry Enten says that Dems are favored to take the Senate (barely) and cook political report said that their edge in keeping the house is growing and its no longer a foregone conclusion that they'll lose seats.

Agree on this. Think he'll see a slip from the "eh, how bad could he be?" Republicans as well as an increase in participation against Trump / for Biden.

Posted earlier in this thread about the "Pssssht, Donald Trump can't be President" mentality in the last election that will obviously not be present this time around, in favor of "if you don't vote for Joe Biden, Donald Trump will continue to be President"

There are so many juicy senate seats in play. Colorado, Maine, and Arizona seem all but certain to flip. North Carolina is there too. If Ds can keep the Loeffler GA seat, the Iowa seat, and the Montana seat in play we have a decent shot.

Biden is a good bet to get more votes unfortunately everyone’s votes don’t count just the electors based on arbitrary georgraphic dividers.

The Democratic candidate could win by up to 8% and still lose

I guess Trump is still a slight favorite on most gambling sites.

There is zero chance this isn't true. I am 100% sure he would have wanted to join Germany and we know how he feels about the alliances that came out of that war.

TenuredVulture wrote:JH can probably help with this some, but looking at recent general election polls, the variation seems to be mostly in Biden's support. Trump hasn't broken 46% at all this year, and recent polls have him getting 40-42%. (There's a Harvard Harris poll out there that seems to have pushed everyone to make a choice--it had Trump 46 and Biden 53.) I just can't imagine Trump getting over 45% in the general election--how many people who aren't supporting him now can be convinced to do so?

which is why the GOP and Putin will be trying to get that 3rd party candidate to join the race. Trump's voters aren't going to switch. Any 3rd party candidate will pull much more from Biden than Trump, imo. Trump's voters are cult followers.

Berks County Commissioner Christian Leinbach wants to open Berks up despite not meeting any state benchmarks (Wolf won't allow that, of course) and isn't sure if the shutdown was even necessary.
