Well, barring anything insane we have our General Election match-up. I'm sure everything will be smooth sailing from here.
Quick Google shows that GoGo is wrong with regards to the Kiwi and the Banana.

Bernie says he’ll stay on the ballot in remaining states to continue gathering delegates to influence convention. Which I think I’m fine with. It’s not like in 2016 where he actively campaigned when it was all but over.

Going to be incredibly interesting. Trump's favorables are back to being low-ish already. Biden is different in HRC in the fact that the GOP has not waged a 25 year smear campaign on him before he became a party nominee for President. Obviously, some percentage of that all sticking has to do with her being a woman. So Biden has that going for him too. He is viewed was less negatively than HRC was/is. I am hopeful that Trump will lose and Biden will win.

I do think if we come in under 100k deaths from this Trump is going to ride that as long as he can. Especially if markets return to where they were beginning of year or close to it.

Yeah, but his voters don't care about how awful he is as long as they have a chance to own the libs.

Depends on how effectively the campaign to vilify China works.

He is going to make them pay just like he did with Mexico and the wall. His base will eat that up.

Yea I typed up something similar and deleted it. Trump's delay in acting made the number estimate rise to 100-200k, and now social distancing will potentially keep us under 100k. It is easy to swing this as a "success" that his base and uninformed voters will accept.

I think we all know that 500K could perish and his base wouldn't care. I take solace in that only 60K votes over three states need to swing.

Were there any swing states where HRC had a narrow victory??

Minnesota? Virginia? Nevada? I don't remember how tight any of those were.

Good point. Yeah, the dynamics will be pretty different. Hopefully the result will be too. 1,000 things can happen between now and November too.

I'd like to think that Trump only has the "disgusting" arm of the GOP locked up, and that anyone with a sliver of decency will NOT vote for him, no matter what.

Probably too optimistic, given the current state of things.

Clinton's slimmest wins were New Hampshire, Minnesota, Nevada and Maine.
