So what would happen if Trump cancelled the election? It's unlikely he would and up as president because his term would expire, but there is a decent chance it would descend into chaos because the new president would be "chosen by a subset of a Senate that is missing a third of its members." Putin would love it but I don't see how it would help Trump.

He may have been in close contact with the house or staffers who tested positive. I think that’s ideally how testing should work. It doesn’t help that it’s been a CF so the perception is poor.

Yeah I guess it is. Probably shouldn’t have tried to spread this so I appreciated Milty’s article because I couldn’t cut through all the Bernie Bros. on Twitter pushing the theory.

It's more complicated than that. He can't legally cancel the election, but he could do it will emergency powers. For example, declare martial law or whatever. I mean, I did read the article.

It's more complicated than that. He can't legally cancel the election, but he could do it will emergency powers. For example, declare martial law or whatever. I mean, I did read the article.

Martial Law or not, only Congress can delay elections.
