Concerned that he's socially distancing like everyone else? Maybe this will ease your mind.

So what would happen if Trump cancelled the election? It's unlikely he would and up as president because his term would expire, but there is a decent chance it would descend into chaos because the new president would be "chosen by a subset of a Senate that is missing a third of its members." Putin would love it but I don't see how it would help Trump.

That very article you linked states that Trump cannot cancel the election.

If there's any chance for an unfair election this is it:

A more realistic threat, as the Nation’s Elie Mystal writes, is that state officials could use the extraordinary powers available to them during a major public health crisis to manipulate who is able to cast a ballot. It’s not hard to imagine a circumstance, for example, where the heavily Democratic counties of Miami-Dade and Broward, in Florida, are placed under a “shelter in place” order on Election Day, while residents of Republican counties in the panhandle are free to head to the polls.

McConnell wants a quarter of the stimulus to be dispersed at discretion of Treasury and not be reported as to recipients (with little to no buyback provisions or employee and benefit retainments).
On a scale of 1 to Chris Brown, how pissed is he?

Even in a time of crisis like this they just can’t help themselves, can they?

this is exactly the plan; using a disaster to further entrench those with power

In reality, every member of Congress should be tested regularly.

He may have been in close contact with the house or staffers who tested positive. I think that’s ideally how testing should work. It doesn’t help that it’s been a CF so the perception is poor.

Anyone can get a test if you pay enough money from a private company.

Yeah I guess it is. Probably shouldn’t have tried to spread this so I appreciated Milty’s article because I couldn’t cut through all the Bernie Bros. on Twitter pushing the theory.

It's more complicated than that. He can't legally cancel the election, but he could do it will emergency powers. For example, declare martial law or whatever. I mean, I did read the article.

Martial Law or not, only Congress can delay elections.
