The Savior wrote:The Dem Party has batted 1.000 since the week before SC. Tonight should be simple: it shouldn’t be a debate. It should be two candidates focused entirely and collectively on the seriousness of the virus, the facts as we know them, the prospective plan at the state levels and then the utter failure of the federal government, including Congress, the Senate and obviously the WH. There doesnt even need to be a focused effort to highlight the WH failures. Less is more.

That’s how tonight should play out.

Focus on the severity the facts and then a call to action. Unify those who are seeking leadership.

“One pastor said half of his church is ready to lick the floor, to prove there’s no actual virus,” an Arkansas pastor told me. “In your more politically conservative regions, closing is not interpreted as caring for you. It’s interpreted as liberalism.”

Living in florida for 5 years made me acutely aware of the fact that the hardcore republican base at this point lives in a world that is completely untethered from reality. Fox news and conservative media disinforms their audience to such a degree that i could not have rational conversations with people who exclusively consume right wing media. In many cases, trump and the admin could just lie and disinform and Fox could spin it any which way to disinform, and people absolutely eat it up. It enrages and makes them frothing mad, and they treat it as gospel and the only true source of news.

I couldn't have anticipated an event like corona, who could? But it has made me extremely worried for people like my former neighbor down there-- a great friend who i am still in touch with,

He's immunocompromised but fiercely independent and "hates being told what to do" so i know he's not going to be taking it seriously.

The entire federal response has been so irresponsible and appalling and disgusting. This shit sucks man

I don't think his boss would approve:

Way back when Trump was right:"We want it to go away with very, very few deaths.”

Sadly earlier today he seems to think we have it "totally under control".

First time I messed up the time difference. Missed the first 30 minutes of the debate. I thought they were supposed to be sitting?

Probably a good guess. Them sitting far away would look more weird. I actually like the no audience.

Wild to see Biden just lie about his stance on Social security

Stacey Abrams would make a whole lot of sense as his running mate.
