I don't think Biden needs much help with blacks, so maybe he doesn't do anything to get Trump's base in a tizzy. If he already has the black vote, why take the chance of increasing turnout for Trump? That leaves Warren and Klobuchar. I think he needs more help with progressives and Warren knows the issues better than anyone. Maybe she's the pick?

Sanders did much better than Biden with latinos. Any chance he picks a latino female? I don't really know if any that would meet the other criteria.

What about the Michigan governor, Gretchen Whitmer?

I think he needs to go younger to try to attract some of that Bernie vibe. That is problematic with most of his possible choices.

I don't know much about Gretchen Whitmer. I took a look and saw that she is 48, and for the sake of trying in Ohio , she went to Michigan State.

Now the Benny Gantz has been asked to for a government in Israel, what happens with Netanyahu? Does a unity administration keep him out of jail? Netanyahu has to ask for tthat, right?

He waits for Gantz to fail, then also fails to form a government.

Gantz failed last time.

They are just stuck. They won't be able to form a government. Gantz doesn't provide enough of an alternative and Netanyahu keeps throwing red meat to the extremists to stick with him.

What a jealous mother fucker.

@realDonaldTrump
Just had a very good tele-conference with Nations’s Governors. Went very well. Cuomo of New York has to “do more”.

@Yamiche
Pres Trump told a group of governors today they should not wait for federal govt to fill growing demand for respirators needed to help people w/ coronavirus, per NYT.

“Respirators, ventilators, all of the equipment — try getting it yourselves,” he said.

Maybe people will wake the fuck up.

The Fund for Peace think tank put Israel in the "elevated warning" category on its Fragile/Failed States Index in 2019 and the Economist ranks it as a "flawed democracy" on its Democracy Index (just like us). If Gantz is unable to form a government, it warrants deep questions about the future of Israeli democracy. The country already has almost 3 million people under gunpoint occupation with no voting rights; an illiberal, authoritarian, criminal prime minister who trades in disinformation (sounds like us again!); and a questionable commitment to legal equality for its Arab citizens. If the third election in 11 months doesn't work, what's next?

Gantz isn't going to be able to form a government because he lost the election

They need to form a national unity government with Likud & the Blue and White Party

I'd prefer someone who's won a statewide race at least. Also didn't find her all that impressive in the hearings.

Markos Moulitsas @markos
Hearing insider rumors that Amy Klobuchar is front-runner for Biden VP pick. If that were to happen, it would be Tim Kaine 2.0—doing nothing to unify the party, bringing no new demographics to the ticket. It would be (once again) a disaster.

So Trump is seemingly setting himself up for a state's rights defense when it comes to his incompetence during the virus. He's pushing everything onto the states, which is what conservatives say they want, and then he'll say he was allowing the states and free market to tackle the problem, but regulation and liberals spouting fake news got in the way.

I think she would be a good pick - let’s stay away from identity politics

I like the pick because she is probably the most helpful (least harmful) in the states Biden needs to win: Michigan, Wisconsin, NH, Pa. I give less than negative fucks about how she plays in California, Washington, New York, etc

I presume and hope that they gave done their research on who plays best in those states.

Biden-Klobuchar -> The Scranton Gritty and Minnesota Nice Ticket -> Also, a pretty boring pair

I don't have any solutions since my preferred pairing of Biden-Warren will never happen

Biden Klobuchar? Yeesh. I live in a very blue leaning town/congressional district/state. Maybe I’ll just stay home on Election Day.

As soon as he said it I figured Klobuchar was the pick, which is too bad because I hate that woman.
