When on point he speaks with empathy and can connect with voters who have experienced loss. He can speak in personal ways, and can embody the “happy warrior.” He isn’t awful in every way. I agree that he hasn’t put forth (in speech) many policy ideas outside of protecting and expanding the ACA.

I get not liking the candidacy and potential presidency of Biden, but he’s leagues better than Trump.

Just got back from voting. #172 at my little polling place just after 9 a.m.

Appears the moderate support may be more linear than expected. Results tonight can confirm or refute that idea, depending on the effect of early voting.

biden's plan on guns is pretty good fwiw. has about the same chance of being passed as m4a, but biden isnt "crazy" or whatever so people dont talk about his "radical" ideas i guess.

So much for being a progressive party.

That’s still twice as coherent as the current President. Eloquence is no longer a prerequisite for the job.

You are aware that all the candidates have posted extensive plans on their websites, right? Hard to sit here and read this when I've gone to Biden's site and read plenty about what he's offering. Might not agree with all of it, but there's stuff there. Maybe policy is lacking in these vapid debates, but it's not non-existent in other channels.

he certainly struggles to convey anything of substance

I don't disagree with this. He does speak with that sort of empathy as slugs says though, and that can connect with people. Hadn't been doing it much in the campaign so far, though it seemed like he finally broke through in the SC victory speech.

The polling on gun control is much better than Medicare for All is, and gun control doesn’t come with the sticker shock as M4A. It’s much easier to attack one than the other.

The reason trump tweets so often about Bernie getting the nom stolen by the DNC again is not because he wants bernie to win so he can face him in the general. Same as 2016, parscale and trump want to make people, especially progressives, stay home on election day. It's an effective strategy because mainstream media, which is already pretty hostile to bernie, plays right into it.

I also think there is a subset of Bernie supporters that would truly believe it too. The problem, as you pointed out, is the mainstream media making it seem like it’s a uniform problem with Bernie supporters and progressives.

Judging by early reaction the biggest challenge to beating Trump will be convincing the 20-25% of Bernie Bros/Sanders Sisters who indicate otherwise that #BlueNoMatterWho is still the best choice.

I also voted for John Kerry which is much more embarrassing.

Furthermore I did not get suspended from twitter, rather banned for calling Wade Keller from the Pro Wrestling Torch a "rat bitch" which ultimately proved to be correct. Don't worry though, I was back immediately.

We're back in DE actually. My wife will grudgingly vote biden. I will not be able to vote, largely bc of this administration and how they're handling naturalization

More embarrassing still would be choosing to vote for Trump again after seeing what his first three years looked like.

Obviously I think it's pretty evident we have a difference of opinion on that one.

Is this a "he isn't a Democrat" thing for you or do you actually support Trump and what he does and is doing? Serious question.
