Speaking of people that go crazy in the hot sun of Florida.

A student (age 11) from a Tampa suburb is facing misdemeanor charges after an apparent confrontation with his (substitute) teacher who wanted him to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

Disrupting school, and resisting arrest.

Vice President Mike Pence left room for applause. But no one clapped. At a security conference in Munich on Saturday, Pence mentioned President Donald Trump, noting he was there “on behalf of a champion of freedom and of a strong national defense.” The vice president went on: “I bring greetings from the 45th President of the United States of America, President Donald Trump.” Pence then paused for applause but no one in the room clapped. After what seem like a very long five seconds, Pence continues with his speech.

These people are the truest of idiots I have ever seen. So completely out of touch and arrogant And they seem to have no concept that when they denigrate Europe, impugn it security, and in general and simply blame them for everything including being the bogeyman of socialist state, that they would have any love whatsoever for the president or his imperial court jesters? It’s almost as if they think that it’s the 1950s and that Europeans would never have possibly heard what he said while they were sleeping.

Former acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe said that President Trump dismissed intelligence on North Korea given to him by U.S. officials, telling them, "I don't care, I believe Putin."

Amazing. There is little reason to doubt this based on passed performance.

I was surprised to hear this from a friend, who is educated, and has a high paying career. I was not up to fighting over it given everything else we were talking about last night. I’ve always taken that position as an antieducation disposition held by people who live in areas without access to higher education. I’ve always viewed it through the lens of my youth where many of the people I grew up with, and their families, thought college made you a self important jerk.

At the Borgata,I had a long conversation with a PHD candidate in economics.

The Republican thing does NOT work to grow the economy. It never has, and I knew that part. What I did not know that the computers predict that as well. Republican economic policies do not work when put into computer analysis, or in the real world.

If you take the long view and study what is best for the economy and the world, you come up with a progressive plan.

Only if you lie and put in bizarre assumptions can you make the republican ideas work. There is nothing conservative about the Republican plan. Progressive ideas conserve and protect. Republican ideas give to the rich, and keep their rank and file happy by lying to them.

Right now, we have a despotic President because he is willing to side with the anti killing babies side of the American political spectrum.

If the Progressives wanted to rule forever they would ban abortion and give incentives to have babies born, BIG incentives. Coupled with incentives to adopt you grow the economy naturally with a higher birth rate.

The BEST way to grow the economy is with MORE PEOPLE. In this case, they would also build a society where the unborn have an absolute right to live, just like us.

Dem plan to save the world

Take responsibility for your body.
Ban abortion
Pay for live births
Pay for adoption

Republican numbers would dwindle because of this one plan. The Republican party lives for businesses not people. The Republican party has only one reason to live. Abortion. If the Dems ban abortion and celebrate life they will do the things we need to get done.

Better wealth distribution and all Progressive principles will be the order of the day. We will get everything, all the way down to proper maintenance on the roads and bridges and no global warming.

Thinking men are progressives. Businessmen often do not think far enough out to act in their own self interest. Take a look at historic performance of Dem v Rep administrations. Even the worst Dem, Carter was better than the best Rep, Reagan.

The president declaring Rosenstein, and McCabe of actsof treason. Fits the new narrative as I heard a friendly senator use the word coup. Dictator strategy 101.

the most incredible and defining trait of the "new" conservative movement is projection. It's simply amazing.

The President should clearly be removed from office as unfit and compromised. That being said, I don't think either the Republicans or Democrats have much interest in removing Trump.

It’s a little after 10 AM. How many times do you think he has asked people: “do you know what today is?”

Every time a Trump zombie riffs about how great America is again and how we are respected again around the world, they ought to have to watch the video of Pence hearing crickets. They also should have to watch the video of Angela Merkel mocking Trump about German cars being a threat to America's national security and the room applauding around Ivanka Trump. America is a laughingstock in the eyes of the world. We have the president we deserve.

Graham was grilled on CBS’ “Face the Nation” about money Trump will likely divert to build the wall in the wake of the president’s declaration of a national emergency after he failed to get the funds from Congress.

Host Margaret Brennan noted that some $3.6 billion of diverted funds could come from “military construction efforts, including construction of a middle school in Kentucky, housing for military families, improvements for bases.” She asked Graham: “Aren’t you concerned some of these projects ... are now going to possibly be cut out?”

Graham responded that “it’s better for the middle school kids in Kentucky to have a secure border.” He promised the kids would eventually get their school, but added, “Right now we’ve got a national emergency.”

I wonder if Rand Paul feels the same way? We already know that Turtle does.

The UK's quest of matching our political dysfunction received a solid boost today with 7 Labour MPs leaving the party to start The Independent Group, having grown disenchanted with Labour over its incoherent position on Brexit and recurring anti-Semitism flaps.

As a foreigner, I don't really understand why they wouldn't just join up with the Lib Dems as they're an already existing centrist pro-Europe party, but there's probably some reason. Don't think there's going to be a huge market at the polls for these folks, but elections are possibly 3 years away so time to figure something out. I think they're hoping additional Labour MPs will defect to them, and possibly some Tories and/or Lib Dems as well?

Agree with this. Keeping him in the presidency is the best way to win 2020 and maybe take back the Senate. Better to do damage control and try to ramp up the investigations to climax in 2020. Not sure if this is the wrong take or not. It's a bit cynical, but Pence or someone like him in there might actually be worse for the country.

Another thing, if they do impeach him, the GOP will use it as an excuse to impeach any dem president with a whiff of scandal.

Finally, I don't think they will ever have the votes in the Senate to impeach unless Mueller has ironclad evidence of direct collusion between Trump (not his campaign, Trump himself) and the Russians. Even then, I'm not sure. If they have a recording or something, I bet they will say it's a fake. Speaking of which, I think we can expect a bunch of fake videos and recordings to flood the political landscape in 2020. The technology is there now and Trump has been removing funding designed to detect forgeries like this. There's a reason he's pulling the funding, just as there's a reason he's pulling the funding for stopping future Russian interference.

If the keys ( 13 keys to the Presidency ) favor Trump he will win. Right now Trump would get elected.

The house needs to impeach and given the massive number of crimes the Senate will be compelled to convict.
