Vice President Mike Pence left room for applause. But no one clapped. At a security conference in Munich on Saturday, Pence mentioned President Donald Trump, noting he was there “on behalf of a champion of freedom and of a strong national defense.” The vice president went on: “I bring greetings from the 45th President of the United States of America, President Donald Trump.” Pence then paused for applause but no one in the room clapped. After what seem like a very long five seconds, Pence continues with his speech.
Former acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe said that President Trump dismissed intelligence on North Korea given to him by U.S. officials, telling them, "I don't care, I believe Putin."

I was surprised to hear this from a friend, who is educated, and has a high paying career. I was not up to fighting over it given everything else we were talking about last night. I’ve always taken that position as an antieducation disposition held by people who live in areas without access to higher education. I’ve always viewed it through the lens of my youth where many of the people I grew up with, and their families, thought college made you a self important jerk.

These people are the truest of idiots I have ever seen. So completely out of touch and arrogant And they seem to have no concept that when they denigrate Europe, impugn it security, and in general and simply blame them for everything including being the bogeyman of socialist state, that they would have any love whatsoever for the president or his imperial court jesters? It’s almost as if they think that it’s the 1950s and that Europeans would never have possibly heard what he said while they were sleeping.

Agree with this. Keeping him in the presidency is the best way to win 2020 and maybe take back the Senate. Better to do damage control and try to ramp up the investigations to climax in 2020. Not sure if this is the wrong take or not. It's a bit cynical, but Pence or someone like him in there might actually be worse for the country.
Another thing, if they do impeach him, the GOP will use it as an excuse to impeach any dem president with a whiff of scandal.
Finally, I don't think they will ever have the votes in the Senate to impeach unless Mueller has ironclad evidence of direct collusion between Trump (not his campaign, Trump himself) and the Russians. Even then, I'm not sure. If they have a recording or something, I bet they will say it's a fake. Speaking of which, I think we can expect a bunch of fake videos and recordings to flood the political landscape in 2020. The technology is there now and Trump has been removing funding designed to detect forgeries like this. There's a reason he's pulling the funding, just as there's a reason he's pulling the funding for stopping future Russian interference.
