That AOC clip of her inquiring about ethics rules for the president was interesting. She had a pretty solid grasp on the fact that the rules for Congress people are reasonably stringent, and that there are basically no rules for the president. Maybe the operating assumption was that the highest office in the land would be held by someone with integrity.

Yeah. She's in the right town I think. Still needs to find the right street. She kept switching between hypothetical examples and stumbled a lot over her words.

Yesterdays news. The missing piece that I head this morning is that he vowed to repay the $150K+ that he ran up in personal travel using Government transportation between DC and NC. Specifically it was reported government vehicle. That figure is so high that I am in disbelief. He's been on the job just over 100 weeks at best? Did he need to take his staff with him or something?

Thought it was great to see Mueller take down Manafort yesterday. Manafort seems like a guy who would side with outerspace aliens attempting to take over earth if you paid him enough. It would however seem to indicate that Manafort won't be providing any useful anti-Trump testimony though as the prosecutor has destroyed any credibility that Manafort would have.

Also in the 'heard on the news' is that his lawyers position this is just some misunderstanding. He misremembered or did not fully understand the questions. Maybe is Mueller should have asked about any Russians hanging out for casual conversation in the back room at Kushner's gangster like club at the 666 property that he should be aware of or something like that.

The vast majority of useful info any of these people will provide will be in the form of contemporaneous emails or in Cohen's case maybe recordings, and that will be picked up hopefully in subpoenas. They are professional liars who have been on every side of every issue, and coming out to say what the prosecution wants to hear once their ass is on the line isn't going to do much I don't think. Going to have to come in the form of a paper trail, one way or another.

If they're cooperating, they can help the special counsel string the pieces together more easily, which I'm sure would be an aid, but may not be necessary (or possible) depending on what the facts ultimately are.

If that is true, Manafort should fire his attorney's immediately for incompetence. Rules #1a and #1b in testifying are to carefully consider your answer before speaking and to NEVER answer a question that is unclear or that you do not fully understand. So, if their explanation is actually true (it isn't), he was poorly prepared to give testimony.
