Or maybe she's one of the few democrats that understands that rhetoric is as important or more important than policy.

She has been more effective at putting progressive ideas into the mainstream than any politician has in the last like...long time. Even Bernie was half written off as a socialist crackpot before he put together a huge challenge to the most establishment dem. Cortez is being treated as the face of a new generation and given her politics, that's got to be terrifying for conservatives.

Of course facts matter, and my thoughts on the pinnochiometer are well established, but in this case I'd rather someone say the world will end in 12 years than deny global warming completely. Both are false but only one is dangerously false.

Obviously she's misstated some other things and she could probably sure some facts up but I'm glad she's out there making the case, even if she's playing loose with the facts for the moment.

My concern is that when confronted with the facts that she just rolls and trolls along. Its like to rep NY your approach needs to be some version of what Trump does. Seriously, how hard is it to take a pause and go deep with the facts as a defense? Its not like climate change is not real, nor is it hard to find demonstrable evidence that is difficult for people to comprehend.
