My daughter (age 15) is supposed to fly from Charlotte to Dallas on 2/15. It is her first time flying without an adult (her best friend is also going). I would really like the government to be open while she is traveling and opening for 3 weeks gets her home just under the wire.

I honestly think that's Trump's play here. He takes Pelosi's offer of 5.7b for non-wall border security. He then declares the National Emergency and tries to appropriate money away from something else for the actual wall. Somebody sues the administration to block it and the case gets held up in the districts and the circuits. By the time Trump ultimately loses in Court people forget that he lost at budget time. Wasn't it shown that a year or two ago, the Congress did actually fund a couple of billion on the wall and Trump didn't even spend it?
