Once we all get the RFID chips implanted in our heads, we won’t have to worry as much about these things.

this is what i would do. people often move without updating their license so you could just be delivering it to someone else to use. I would probably just destroy the cards if i couldn't find the person

I'd probably take it to a police station if I couldn't locate the owner after a minimal amount of effort.

Got a promo email for $60 for 12 months of sirius select or $99 for 12 months of sirius all access which includes online listening. Not sure if I'd use the online enough to justify the additional expense, but $60/yr seems pretty good right?

I have a hard time seeing how sirius is going to stay around. between pod casts and streaming, what's the point? I guess if you really like exclusive sirius content, it might be worth it.

Yeah, I've been doing podcasts and I'm pretty happy with that, and streaming music, but I feel like I get stuck in a rut with music and don't start find anything new. Pandora and even my spotify discover weekly are still giving me stuff I already heard or I'm totally not into at all. I had it and cancelled it a year ago and I wouldn't pay the $15.99/mo for it at all, but I do like subscribing for a special getting some new music and then cancelling.

I think Sirius is definiteloy worth it for $60/year. I wouldnt pay more than that, though, so whenever my subscription is coming to a close i call to quit and they give me that deal

but yeah, stern has to be getting most of the money they take in so i don't know how they can remain profitable

I feel like we're so close to agreeing as a civilized society that elon musk sucks and I'm very happy about it.

Doesn't he only do like 50 shows a year or something now too? I never listened to his sirius show, is he still any good?

eh, he's ok. much of it seems so contrived now, but he gets great guests and does apretty good interview.

His schedule is amazing (for him). 3 days a week, but he has a ton of vaction, and if a week has a holiday in it, he gets that whole week off too. So next week, no new live shows. I was pumped bc the next channel up is the classic howard show, but they rarely go before 2010, so all the stuff i heard when i was a kid is barely on

There are probably tons of radio streams out there too though--I listen to WFMU a lot (which also lets you download archives of shows) but most stations these days have a phone app you can use. It depends on what you're into, but I like WWOZ a lot too.

I do find Pandora "stations" pretty horrible, though Mrs. Vulture listens to them a lot. Very repetitive. With spotify, I just make my own play lists, which granted doesn't really expose me to new stuff (but is a great way to hear new releases from artists I already know and explore people I hear others mention.)

Went to get some lunch, ordered my food and sat down. As I’m waiting I open up the Bumble to do some swiping. I see this girl who looks familiar. I look up and it’s the gal who took my food order. Small world!

Yeah, and I have no idea what radio station I want to listen too either. All of the stuff I used to listen to is long gone.
