Jones provocateur of repeated claims about the 9/11 as an an “inside job”, that Osama Bin Laden worked for the CIA, that the Oklahoma City bombing was a “staged event” and that the mass shootings in Sandy Hook, Aurora, Columbine, Tucson, San Bernardino, and Orlando were all false flags. Is finally breaking out of his nasty cocoon where everyday American who never heard of him, are. Twice I was asked about Jones and the Sandy Hook truthers in a 'say it ain't so' context. Maybe this exposure helps crack the sky open a bit. Of course I had to have not one, but two emotional discussions about how disgusting Jones and his ilk are with the type of horrors they continue to plow on these families. It is soul crushing.

Although it is pure conjecture (says it right up front), the fact that it even exists is a tragic. Please don't give her any ideas. Don't even crack that door a little. For the love of god, don't invite that thought in.

I She needs to pull the plug and go off to be a good grandmother. She needs to consider herself radioactive in light of the fallout of her failed presidential run and acknowledge that she is complicit in where we find ourselves. She should rise up and quash the idea that she will ever run for public office again.

you sure expect a lot of someone that's made no indication that they're doing anything besides hiking right now.staying out of the limelight also means not making a news cycle about yourself, which is what that would mean.

Didn't catch the whole thing this morning so thanks for posting. Now a few questions - (i) WTF??? (ii) seriously, does he have Parkinson's or Tourette's or was he just wearing an ill fitting suit? (iii) is this the kind of segment we would have seen from Joseph Goebbels in 1930s Germany?

It doesn't help that he could pass for Putin's son and has the deadest eyes I've ever seen (other than on The Walking Dead).

OMFG - Press questions and DjT waxing on about this electoral college margin of victory. What was the question? Well, it was about security of the Northern border. His bridge from the question was that he is making good on his promises.

Good read here from Yale historian. Well mostly it's for Soren. But yeah also everyone else

http://international.sueddeutsche.de/po ... d-american

Last week Trump called those who take part in demonstrations “thugs” and “paid protestors”. This doesn’t show respect for First Amendment right, it sounds more like Putin.

That is exactly what the Russian leadership does. The idea is to marginalize the people who actually represent the core values of the Republic. The point is to bring down the Republic. You can disagree with them. but once you say they have no right to protest or start lying about them, you are in effect saying: „We want a regime where this is not possible anymore.“ When the president says that it means that the executive branch is engaged in regime change towards an authoritarian regime without the rule of law. You are getting people used to this transition, you are inviting them into the process by asking them to have contempt for their fellow citizens who are defending the Republic. You are also seducing people into a world of permanent internet lying and way from their own experiences with other people. Getting out to protest, this is something real and I would say something patriotic. Part of the new authoritarianism is to get people to prefer fiction and inaction to reality and action. People sit in their chairs, read the tweet and repeat the clichés: “yes, they are thugs” instead of “it is normal to get out in the streets for what you believe.” He is trying to teach people a new behavior: You just sit right where you are, read what I say and nod your head. That is the psychology of regime change.

drumpf reminds me a of a story a broker friend of mine tells about a local mayor who's since done time in a federal lockup.

Broker's firm's invited to present a coverage option to the city & its execs. They get especially excited when they learn the mayor's going to attend the presentation. Wow, the mayor must be really interested in the city workforce's welfare.

They prep hard, do an aces job on the presentation in front of the mayor and his retinue, and oh boy! hizzoner has a question - he must be REALLY interested.

"Yes, your mayorness?"

"What's in it for me?"

Broker concludes the mayor wants the benefits explained from the POV of the average rank & file employee, so broker begins laying out the plan features, emphasizing benefit to employees & dependents.

Mayor cuts him off.

"No, no, no, numbskull - what's in it for me?"

Stephen Miller's discussions around the power of judicial and its application in the Travel Ban where some lowly judge freezes the ban being inappropriate demonstrated something terrifying. I think he only believes that the Supreme Court can take such action, and that he clearly does not under stand how things work in our system of government.

Politico runs an article based on a tenuous connection of the "facts" (IF THEY MEAN ANYTHING ANYMORE) and people are flipping out like Hillary has already declared.
Quick Google shows that GoGo is wrong with regards to the Kiwi and the Banana.

given the sensitive & complex nature of the US-Canada relationship, drumpf takes questions at the drumpf/Trudeau presser from two hard-hitting journos: 1 from the Daily Caller, the other from a local TV station's newscaster
