I also thought KoP was a real IMAX but the Tuttleman is the only legit 70mm. Real disappointed in my advanced scouting. I need to do a better job.

From what I understand, they just didn't have sufficient time. Disney already gave them an extra 7 months bumping it from May to December.

It must've gone well though, because the same group that did the Ep VII conversion is doing Rogue One and Ep VIII too.

Isn't there only like 25 or 30 true IMAX theaters in the entire country?

Scanning Wikipedia, it looks like 60 or so, with most being 3D.

Yeah we've got the largest IMAX screen in Virginia here in Richmond, but it's at the Science Museum and doesn't show commercial movies.

They could've made huge money by holding a premiere of Ep VII there and auctioning tickets.

This is probably more personal preference/health, but I get migraines relatively easy and sitting on the side irritates that and also doesn't look as good as a straight on view. So basically, it's like a regular movie. Good talk slugsrbad.
Quick Google shows that GoGo is wrong with regards to the Kiwi and the Banana.

I always try for as center in the theatre as possible with erroring on the side of higher more than lower.

The only movie I have ever seen in 3d was Avatar. I liked it but not enough to spend the extra money. This would probably be a good one since it seems as if there is a lot going on in some of the big action scenes and added depth would add to the experience.
