only get pissed off when people describe it as seminal and groundbreaking. Then I realise that I can't argue with influential in the strictest sense of the term and I get even more pissed off.

It is what it is.

Are we talking about Episode IV or what?

The original trilogy were the world's greatest B movies.

Hard to say. I saw it in the theater when it came out (only once, though), and that hyperspace thing was was pretty cool, the special effects in general were the best I'd seen and and the whole thing was entertaining.

Now, of course, the effects are nothing special, you notice that Hamill and Fisher are atrocious actors and the imperial storm troopers are just comic.

Great score, though, and the robots still carry the day. I give it a least a B+.

I voted "whatever" because I don't think it's the best, but I don't hate it; however, I am not that apathetic. I do love the Star Wars movies (even the redheaded stepchildren of the late 90s, early 00s) and think they're amazing.

Just the first one. Up to and including its shite blood monster special effects.

Haven't watched it in a while. Must rectify that.

I watch it about once every three years. I like it, but am not obsessed with it. Couldn't quote too many lines.

Seen all 6 movies, the 3 Family Guy spoofs and Fanboys, but I'm not a huge fan or anything. I did have the figures and Millenium Falcon and that badass C3PO case as a kid though...

Effing loved it as a child. Enjoyed the mid-90s reissues, partly out of nostalgia. Hated the prequels. Probably won't watch any of it again.

Also had the Atari 2600 games where you had to destroy the Death Star and destroy the walker things with the blinking target

You know what I loved as a child? Fucking Scooby Doo, that's what. And the Flintstones. Loved that too. You know what? I don't watch that shit any more. Why? Because they're stupid. That's why.

I'd rather watch Godzilla Stomp the shit out of Tokyo than see Mark Hamill wave some dumbass flashlight around.

And, yes, I did watch the Star Wars Christmas special. It wasn't much worse than the movie.
