That's what he did for the last Indiana Jones movie and it was still horrendous.

I hope you mean the first 3. 4-6 are fine.

But I'd love to see 1-3 "rebooted."

Just watched 1-4 recently. Need to watch 5 and 6.

yeah, 4-6 are fine but I'd like to see the continuity work better from 1-6. nothing would replace the original trilogy, but i think it might not be terrible

Abrams crushed it doing that with Star Trek. Nolan did it with Batman. Sometimes it works

Went to Star Wars Weekends at Disney's Hollywood Studios last May.

It was interesting. People dressed up in full costume (not park employees) in 80 degree heat. Everyone saying "I have a bad feeling about this" which ALWAYS led to people laughing like it was the funniest thing ever. The dude who played C-3PO doing a one man stage show and coming off as kind of a dick.

I'll stay to just watching the movies every few years.

My son got one of the Lego Star Wars games for Christmas, we are now watching the movies and he's really liking them. He doesn't quite get it all, but he likes the battle scenes and everything. I hadn't seen episode 3 yet, and we watched it today, not bad, definitely the best of the new 3, but I'm looking forward to seeing the original trilogy again, it's been probably 10 years since I saw them.

I have to say, I am shocked with how popular Star Wars is among the kids at church. They talk about it all the time, in fact, one of the kids brought a snowspeeder up to the children's sermon on Sunday.

I have a cousin who's about 10 who has loved Star Wars for years. It's pretty cool. Another cousin who's younger is obsessed with Indiana Jones.

Form experience, it's most likely their parents influence. VoxJr was getting Star Wars toys at two years old. Around that time, they had just started with those Galactic Heroes figures, the chunky, non-movable ones that are better for little ones. He liked Anakin, the "little boy with the plane". But now BabyVox has a decent collection of those, and he's started in on the regular figures, thanks mostly to the collecting Vox's brother did. And we're trying to merge that with he like of legos, as well.

We've tried the movies, but VoxJr isn't interested, and BabyVox (he's needs a better name, he's FIVE now!), barely pays attention. But BV LOVES Clone Wars, and is riveted whenever it's on.

Raiders of the Lost Ark is probably the best movie out of all the Star Wars/Indiana Jones movies.

I've come to appreciate Temple of Doom more and more over the years, whereas my esteem for The Last Crusade has diminished somewhat.

If I were ranking all 10 movies, I think it would go:

1. Raiders
2. Empire
3. Star Wars
4. Temple
5. ROJ
6. ROS
7. Last Crusade
8. Clones
9. Phantom Menace
10. Crystal Skull

That last one is straight up awful, basically nothing redeeming about it at all (though the one thing that everyone seemed to hate the most was the one thing I thought was actually pretty well in the spirit of the originals - the "nuke the fridge" segment).

I think I like the Last Crusade a lot more than most people. It was one of my favorite movies ever.

The Crystal Skull truly sucked and I can't believe it was ever made.

The Last Crusade is actually the first one I saw (or remember seeing anyway), and I really loved it at first. But once you've seen all three and compare, it's really just basically a lame remake of the first one, only with Sean Connery added to disguise that fact. Connery's character in fact adds a lot to the movie and helps to hide its essential lack of originality very well, but there is only so much he can do.

The Last Crusade was probably in my top five at the time I first saw it, but that was when I was 14. A year or so ago, I watched it with my parents who hadn't seen it, but had enjoyed Raiders at least, and I remember being embarrassed at some of the corniness.

Lucas, 68, the sole owner, will get half in cash and the rest in stock, making him a major investor in the film, theme park and TV company, according to a statement yesterday from Burbank, California-based Disney. The first of a new trilogy of “Star Wars” films will be released in 2015, Disney said.
