J.P. decided to go all-in with his flush and Rube showed a full house. Enjoy your trip to the rail, J.P 'cause Rube just played you old school son!

A serious question - Should the Phillies, having now acquired Lee, continue to pursue Halladay or are you plenty happy leaving things where they are?

I like it the way it is. Farm still has solid players. And our rotation is so much better.

So long, Rodrigo. You did a great job and you'll catch on somewhere!

I guess we're about to find out if JP was serious and Toronto can just keep Halladay. If true, I would have to think now they will.

If that's always been a lie, the price for Halladay just hit rock bottom. I'd assume the Jays would not want to deal with the Phillies out of spite now, but I'm guessing the Red Sox or Yankees could now have him, one for prospects sans Buccholz, the other for only one of Hughes or Chamberlain, not both. Maybe the Dodgers or Angels could still make a run too?

I would offer Happ/Taylor/D'Arnaud, see if they bite.

He better be sticking around in the bullpen as long as Romero and co are on the DL.

Would the Phillies really pay for Lee AND Halladay? That's like $25 million next year.

Sherman:

Toronto officials were surprised that Lee could be obtained without a more sure thing than Knapp leading the trade.

What the hell? Send the town into a total frenzy, sell so much merchandise you'll set world records.

I don't think the Jays would go for any deal the Phillies have left to offer (and the Phillies will obviously not be offering Drabek now), so the point is moot.

I feel sorry for Roy. He was prolly all excited about the chance to play for a contender, especially excited it looked like it'll be the awesome defending WFC.

I think we should take up a collection or something to pay his bail (as a unified sign of support) when he's arrested for leaving a flaming pile of poop at Ricciardi's front door tonite.
