I wouldn't put it past them. He's burned a lot of bridges with the organization. His only friend (Bowa) left town a long time ago. Didn't he also have a blow up in the clubhouse towards the end of the 2007 season?

Why does Randy Miller have to piss all over everyone's parade anyway? If there is a real parade again down Broad Street in October, he's not invited. Give his press pass to Roy Halladay.

Wouldn't suprise me actually.
They did it to Eskin before and then basically laughed in his face after the fact.

When was the last time Miller broke any inside news before Zolecki or even Murphy or Martino? If this was true, those guys would be all over it. From the beginning of this Halladay stuff, the reports have been that the Phils all over it - that they had been calling Toronto for two years. Surely, they knew their budget before then. Nothing has changed. This is nonsense.

The guys who cover sports for a living seem really delusional about their place in the universe. From the teams perspective, they are there to be used. Teams and players will talk to you only if they think they will benefit from talking to you. It's all PR, and if Pat doesn't want to talk to Randy Miller, that's because Pat feels it's not worth his time.
Really, sports reporters are no different than any other celebrity reporters. They're there to provide publicity for an entertainment business. You would never hear a guy from People Magazine or Entertainment tonight whining about how Shia Laboeuf won't talk to them.
