I'd rather not do the deal than include both, plus Drabek or Knapp. (Though at the same time, I can't imagine that Toronto would want both given their obligations to Wells and Rios and their control of Snider.)
I heard Halladay speak and he is going to be traded, and he knows it, and likes it.ek wrote:forgot to post this. listening to riccardi on xm home plate yesterday on the way home in an interview. he said 75-80% chance of not moving him at all

That's not what he said. I am actually more excited after hearing his interview. He thinks we have a real shot to get this done. Yes they don't want to move Drabek, but if they can do so and maybe give up lesser and fewer prospects in that deal, it may be worth it.ek wrote:zolecki trying to temper expections on WIP right now. he really doesn't think they'll give up Drabek
They most certainly will trade Drabek in the right package for Halladay. If they can do Drabek, Marson, Donald and Savery as opposed to Happ, Carrasco, Brown, Marson, Bastardo & Donald, you had better bet they will do so.ek wrote:haha, you must have heard something different than I did. he did say that part at the end though yes. but the chances of that happening are slim to none.

They apparently are coveting SP and IF prospects.
So it's very plausible that Brown and Taylor don't even interest them.

Are you suggesting Drabek will be as good as Halladay next year?
