I dont think there is ANY way they take that contract, even if they have the money. Its in the Zito class of bad contracts. I mean, really bad.

Everett was on with the morning guys and was ready to dismiss the phillies' potential trade package, Al Morganti of all people stepped up to him and even Cataldi emphasized that the phils have better prospects.

Question: if Halladay is traded by the Blue Jays before the ASG, are they still responsible for paying his $125,000 ASG bonus? Or would it be the team to which he goes? It might give the Blue Jays 125,000 reasons to do the deal before, rather than after, the ASG (not that $125,000 should necessarily factor into a major league club's decision-making; I'm not familiar with how cheap their ownership is or isn't).
