My bizarre Roy Halladay obsession

Postby CFP » Fri Jul 10, 2009 13:02:35

Just remember, our GM almost traded Heitor Correa and Vance Worley for Scott Hairston. Temper expectations.

Which indicates he's ready and willing to deal.

at this point we could trade the R-Phils and the Threshers for halladay and i don't think anyone here would be too upset

If the 5 minor leaguers rumor is correct is it possible that Drabek is not one of them and the Jays went for quantity rather than quality?

Also, I wonder if the Phils are just making sure Pedro's arm doesn't fall off to make the deal and then will include Happ.

IDK where VFB got the MetsBlog thing, but the actual MetsBlog said 60 percent chance traded this season, not this afternoon.

Can Roy Halladay Save the Mets?
The Mets are certainly willing to take on payroll, but with a 12-22 record since June began, a decimated lineup that won't be near whole anytime soon and a version of Santana that has put up a 5.61 ERA with disturbingly uncharacteristic peripherals (4.4 K/9, 2.1 HR/9) over his past seven starts, it's a stretch to suggest that Halladay is enough.

This is like when we went up 2-0 on Brazil. I would have been perfectly OK with not getting Halladay until this moment, now I will be quite sad if it doesn't happen.

Guys, this is happening. I never have feelings about stuff like this, but I have a feeling about this. It's in my pants, so I thought I should tell an adult or someone I trust.
Fine. You wanna act like you're two? I'll act like I'm one.
